National Day of the Cowboy
Join in celebrating our first festival of the year & the 14th National Day of the Cowboy. The Indiana legislature last year declared the 4th Saturday of July as the National Day of the Cowboy so help us celebrate our cowboy heritage in Indiana with cowboys, cowgirls, horses and bucking bulls, music and entertainment on the village stage as well as Soarin Hawk's birds of prey demonstration & Jefferson their bald eagle. For the buckaroos there are special western crafts & games, the newly enlarged Moose Traxx playground, the Moose Traxx Kiddy train, horse rides, & visits with "Moses the Moose" and Johnny Appleseed. Local artisans will be showing & selling their hand-made items & our chainsaw carvers will be displaying their unique talents. Create new memories as you stroll through time in the old west 1800"s village; ride the Amish Percheron horse drawn wagon through the village woods, see the new grist mill, moonshine cabin, & Alligator Island. At Mackey's General Store you can find old time flavor in the food, the many specialty items available or simply enjoy the 1800's in the village itself. Join us for a relaxed, fun family day in the village.
